A bride shared a Notes App screenshot of proposed 'wedding rules' she plans to include with her 'Save the Date' cards, asking fellow brides in a Facebook group whether they have ideas on what she should add. The thread was screenshot and shared with the Facebook group Wedding Shaming, which is absolutely as fun as it sounds.
When members of the group suggested that the 'rules' were largely unnecessary to spell out as they are mostly common courtesy things, the original poster got extremely defensive.
(The comments with pink paint are from other brides, while the white comments are from the bride who posted the list.)
The conversation then dissolved into a rant about her future mother-in-law, which no card insert is going to fix. People suggested the bride have a conversation with her directly.
The bride then went so far as to say that people who don't follow the rules will be kicked out of the reception.
Another commenter reinforced how the 'rules' are unnecessary, and the bride WENT OFF.
Let this be a lesson for us all: if you do not want people to leave comments, do NOT ask for comments.
Sorry if that means I just broke rule #9: 'no nit-picking.'
