There's a time and a place for hanging out with pet snakes. The time is almost always in private, and the place is at home, where it belongs.
A woman was aghast when her family was kicked out of a pumpkin patch because her son brought his pet snake. She used Air Bud logic, arguing that nowhere on the website does it say that a snake can't come to the pumpkin patch, but that loophole does not apply here. They wrote to the pumpkin patch and threatened to go to the media, and the exchange is incredibly entertaining.
It was posted to the F*ckYouKaren subreddit,
They are not a family of criminals, they are simply a family of snake fans.
The pumpkin patch responded with a generous offer to re-activate their tickets so they could return sans snake, and very patiently explained that 'a snake is not something that should be brought to a large festival with a lot of people.' There were complaints from other customers, because surprisingly, not everybody loves snakes.
That was not good enough for our Karen. The pumpkin patch proprietor generously reiterated their offer for new tickets...
...so 'Karen' reiterated her threat to go to the press, as if this story is scandalous.
The commenters weren't as easy on Karen as the pumpkin patch person was.
'Imagine being so delusional you think going to the media would make you anything less than a laughingstock,' Alarmed_Handle_6427 wrote.
People also pointed out that 'Karen' was being an irresponsible pet grandmother. 'How is it good for a tropical snake to be dragged around a pumpkin patch in the fall? Leave the snake at home under a nice warm light!' satanic-frijoles explained.
'I’m worried for that snake honestly. Poor thing must be stressed to hell and back if they regularly take it crowded places like that. Obviously a snake isn’t going nowhere to be allowed sheesh,' froreWolf added.
I hope that snake is excited to go trick-or-treating. They'll clearly bring him anywhere.
